Position:         Business Analyst, Information Technology

 Location:         Honolulu, HI

 Type:             6 months

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, facilitate, and develop the documentation of business and technical requirements
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders for awareness, planning, implementation, support and maintenance
  • Work with stakeholders and outsourced vendor resources to ensure business and technical requirements are accurately translated into requirement specifications and functional designs
  • Flag respective Systems Analyst/Solution Architect on any potential cross-application impacts for proactive plans around integration
  • Ensure traceability of requirements through design & build, testing, and deployment
  • Work with business units to develop test traceability matrix back to their project requirements; ensure clarity with the business, project team and QA
  • Work with business stakeholders and QA to design test cases to ensure requirements are correctly implemented and that applicable user acceptance testing is performed
  • Lead functional departments through the documentation and gap analysis of “as is” and “to be” business processes
  • Facilitate the development of end user training materials and the adoption of new business processes
  • Become a subject matter expert in the assigned area of business focus

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 4 years working primarily as a business analyst or in a related role
  • Proficient in the areas of gathering and documenting requirements, developing use cases and test cases, process mapping, and developing data flow diagrams
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in multi-tasking, analytical thinking, and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and methodology
  • Experience with implementing and supporting complex integrated applications
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies/techniques such as waterfall or agile/scrum
